The More that I test around my idea is starting to seem to complicated to complete. If further explaining is needed, I will do so.
AUDIO HIJACK DICTATE TO TEXT HOW TO
However, I am very unaware on how to do this.ĭoes anyone know the exact script on how you would accomplish this. I know parts of this is possible such as the replace function, the copy function and the whole script idea.

Yes it is a lot! But, wouldn't you then basically have a voice dictation applescript that knows every word in the english dictionary. Then it does this for every word in the dictionary.

Then it goes though the dictionary and replaces where hello is with a word. What if you made a applescript that copies that previous script, without the word hello. Now here is the crazy part, which I will try to explain as best as possible. I am sure something in that script is not right but its just an example. Tell application "speechrecognitionserver" Instead of trying to make an applescript that recognized sound and exports it as text. This is going to sound like a crazy idea but I think it will work. (As I see it, the problem with application"speechrecognitionserver" is that it's not scriptable.) But I'll be following your thread with interest.
AUDIO HIJACK DICTATE TO TEXT TRIAL
(The trial version imposes noise after a recording time of 10 minutes - so you can do endless experimenting - and get plenty confused - at no cost, as long as each sound example you experiment with doesn't exceed 10 minutes.)įor example, a command in AS can be captured as a sound file when the script is run. I don't remember whether there was any capability for "speech-to-text," but it was certainly possible to create sound files with it - including from system sound. But working with it with Applescript proved pretty daunting and I ran out of time to work on it (it is a scriptable application). Rogue Amoeba has several versions of this, including some for earlier operating systems. I haven't had time to explore etresoft's latest suggestion.īut I had an intense interest in this subject some time ago and stumbled across this:
